This morning I ran across an article about Lake Geneva, Wisconsin in my local paper that was syndicated from the Washington Post. The writer did a wonderful job describing the town and lake as it is today. This is the town my characters in Thyme for Love visit for meals and hanging out by the lake.
It is also the same setting in my upcoming novel, Love Finds You in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin which is scheduled to release in June. Included is a picture of the largest mansion on the lake called Stone Manor. I mention this home in my 1933 LFY story as "Younglands," the name it was called back in the 30s.
If you go to the article you'll see why I'm so blessed to be from such an historical and lovely area.
Here's the link to the article. I've reduced it at Tiny URL because of it's original length:

Hello from Joyce in Holland. I went to St.Anne's summer camp for girls at stone manor. two summers in a row, and because they needed money my sister and I were there also for one winter. I guess from Sept. to Dec. I learned to swim there in the lake, and went horse back riding to the town. There was a huge ballroom and a huge doll house in it. we slept in the summer outside on the huge second floor terrace. we roasted marshmallow in the fireplace in the winter. There was a huge staircase and we found it pretty spooky when it stormed. I am glad the building is still there. sincerely, Joyce Bakker-Jacobi
Joyce, I don't know if you'll see this, but if you do I'd love to hear more about your summers at Stone Manor. The mansion still stands today, governing Geneva Bay. It's condominiums now but it looks pretty much the same from the outside. Please let me know how I can contact you.
